Market Finds
It has been a perfect day weather wise here in Melbourne and it was so nice to walk around the market on such a beautiful day.
Seemed like a lot of trash and not much treasure but I did manage to come across this vintage black globe some bottles and an old UK flag that no doubt was waved by some child on the occasion of a visiting Royal.
Brought back memories of a school trip in Perth when I was 6, I remember being very disappointed that the Queen was just a "lady" and recounting this to mum when I got home.

E Mag Inspiration
Cute emag site thought I would share, some really nice images to peruse over the weekend, it's in French but the pic's are gorgeous..
I loved this quilt even though I am not really a pink girl, good mix of vintage and new fabrics.
Have a great weekend.

New Quilt
These are just a few pic's of our new Linen lace that has just come in, a quilt that I designed and Carolyn kindly made up for me and one of the lovely brooches Adrienne M has made and put in the shop.
Fabric has been arriving faster than we have been able to put it away, so many nice ones but I forgot my camera today so will put them on next week.

Inspiration for Log Cabin Quilt.
These images are from here this artist is so inspiring and this is from her vintage blog. Apparently this was what they term a "cutter quilt" in the USA. So nice she loved it and has it on her bed and did not cut it up.
I love the detail of the 1930's fabrics.

String
One thing I can't get enough of is string so when I saw these large rolls at the NYGift fair I had to have them in the shop.
They are rolls of 300m and come in 5 colours (including the two tone) and sell for $33 or .25c per metre. They are the perfect thickness and have a myriad of uses.
Ring the shop if you are not a local and we will post them out.
Much better value by the roll.

Market Finds & Violet's
Before
After
Detail of Tray
These are some of my market finds today, they will all be going to Scarlet after a bit of a scrub.
(well maybe all)
I was fascinated by some old photo's that were at the Vienna Exhibition and one of Violet's took my fancy, so here is my adaptation of it, using tools to adjust the colour on the computer.
