MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well here we are a week from Christmas
and no Christmas cards have been sent yet again. I had great intentions to write them in October and post them early, oh well maybe next year.
This is my last post until the New Year so I will leave you with the adorable photos of my lovely little grandchildren Lenny
and Xanthe.

HEATHER ROSS MUNKI MUNKI

While cleaning out the back room I found these rolls of original Heather Ross enzyme washed cottons from many years ago when Heather printed her own designs for her sleepwear range.
I have put them on our website, they are beautiful and 150 wide.
There is
Icecream Truck, Sushi and Free Kittens.

AUNTIE COOKIE FABRIC

Just opened my new Riley Blake catalogue and found the coolest new fabric designs by the uber talented Melbourne designer Shannon Lamden.
"Hipster" indeed! Love the fabrics!
I think I will be making room for these in our new look shop next year.
Congratulations Shannon!

CLOSED SUNDAYS UNTIL FEBRUARY

I have always closed Sundays in January but this year I am starting early. We will not  be resuming Sundays until February.
My Christmas hours will be
~ closing on Friday afternoon 21st December

~ re opening on Tuesday the 2nd of January at 10 am. Resuming normal 10 to 4pm Mon-Saturday
I will be in the shop until the 14th of Jan then go to Paris and NY for my regular buying trip.  Effie and the others will be holding the fort so come and say hello.

Lots of Lovely Fabric

We still have lots of lovely fabrics in the shop so don't think we are running out.
The fabric will stay discounted until February.
This will be my last Sunday but Anna will be at the shop updating the website if you are desperate, just give her a call and she will let you in.

We have just received some new linen fabrics, I took them home and washed them to see how they washed.they are beautiful. 130wide $30 a metre.

I have still had a lot of people coming in to say sorry we are going. Good news is we are going nowhere! Everyone loves to spread a bit of bad news but we have all been busy filling them in on the truth of the matter.
1.We will have fabric, just not the ranges of American Patchwork! Or Patchwork books.
No point trying to compete with the OS
Online store.
2. We will have notions, battings, pillow inserts,ribbons etc.Japanese books.
3. We will have basics, solids, checks, stripes.
4. We will have beautiful Japanese fabrics.
5. WE WILL HAVE THE LARGEST RANGE OF LIBERTY OF LONDON fabrics including some silks, jerseys.
6. We will have beautiful linens and French fabrics including Les Olivades and toiles.
7. Scarlet Jones Hawthorn is staying where it is in Auburn Rd.
8. We will have classes.
9. Patchwork on Central Park will be an Internet site only with free shipping on orders over $50 from Feb.
As well as all this we will carry some linen and cotton
clothing and homewares (different stock to Hawthorn.)
Hope this clears the misconceptions, everyone will love the changes, except the silly ones who used us and shops like us to check out fabrics before buying on the Internet.

Get Ready Christmas is Coming

Christmas is not far away, I say this every year but how quick has this year gone!
My little grandbabies are growing quickly and are smiling all the time.
Our gorgeous Christmas decorations have just arrived in Scarlet Jones and as usual are flying out the door.

Closed Sunday Monday and Tuesday this Weekend

We are only open Saturday this weekend as I am having a mini break for Melbourne Cup. Still heaps of gorgeous fabrics to be had at huge discount.
