scarfing

Last night I had a bit of fun creating this great scarf.
I am in love with linen! It's made using a beautiful pure linen gauze with circles of Liberty fabric sewn on, then washed in hot water and put in the dryer to get that wrinkled look. Voila!
I have also been a fan of Japanese craft books for about four years. A lovely customer introduced them to me. I am excited that the publishers have started to translate some of them. This is one of my favourites. The photography and styling is inspirational. I have a few copies left I am taking to the Sydney Quilt Fair.

  1. So happy to see you've started a blog! I love the scarf idea...do you sell the linen at the shop? Does it come in other colours?

  3. Thanks for your comments. Yes the fabric is at the shop. I will get Marie to put it on the site when she is in next week.
Meanwhile I am trying to work out how to put my new photo's from the new camera on! Keep you posted.
