Quick post

This is the gorgeous hexagon necklace that was a gift to lovely Sarah from her equally lovely sister Anna. Sarah (choccybangles) worked for me at Darling Harbour, and just whipped up a little outfit from the red spotted Nani Iro fabric. Thanks so much Sarah.
These two are incredibly talented women and are so inspiring as they are always raising the bar.

Sydney Show

Our stand at Darling Harbour featuring Antique quilts and remakes.

Well we got back last night and must say how much I enjoyed the Sydney quilt Show.
It is just like a holiday, it is so nice catching up with friends old and new, going out to dinner with such a nice crowd always is a highlight.Eating and walking around the colourful Chinatown (thanks Kathy) on a lovey night makes me feel how lucky I am.
Then going to eat at Stanly St in Surrey Hills on the next night and walking back through the city via the amazing light show on at the Cathedral (thanks Sarah).
We stayed at The Goldsborough Apartments just near the convention and it was great, I recommend them to everyone if you are going to Sydney.
Such a lovely old building. Hope your week has been as good.

Detail on Odd Molly Loves You Jacket for Effie.

This is my last post until I get back from the Sydney Show, as many of you know I don't do many shows, but Sydney is my favourite as it is like a little holiday for Kate and I, it is so nice to catch up with the lovely ladies in Sydney who love what we do.
Hopefully you will like our offerings this year.
I will be bringing quite a bit of the gorgeous scarf linen as well as the normal weight.
As you know from past blog entries scarves are what I have been loving for the past couple of years and there are endless ways of embellishing the beautiful linens I import.
Well enjoy your next week and if you are in Sydney come and say hello.
p.s. we are closed this Sunday and Monday for the Queens Birthday Long Weekend.

Perth Western Australia

These are a few random photo's of Perth. The first one was so funny I had to photograph it.
If you haven't been to W.A. it is certainly worth a visit.
Especially the Southwest, from Perth around the coast to at least Albany and around to Esperance if you have the time.
You will find the most beautiful, white pristine beaches in the world. It is such a diverse state.
I usually make the effort to drive down to a place called Bremer Bay, but time got away from me this trip.
Have a good weekend.

SALE TOMORROW AND SATURDAY

This is a block of my new quilt (may or may not keep it) I made it quilt as you go method sewing directly onto a batting and calico base.
I was inspired by a quilt displayed in this gorgeous book and hope it will turn out as nice.
It has been quite a while since the last Sale at Patchwork I think it was November last year.
Can you believe it is June already!
I will be going in early tomorrow to cull my fabrics, see you there.
I am intending to be ruthless.
Don't forget you will need cash for the sidewalk $5 and $10 fabrics. Cards are no problem for the inside shop 20% off fabrics etc.
