Sale is Ongoing

We have been inundated with customers wishing me the best for my future plans, some I have not seen for many years. Most are looking forward to the changes, some not so happy. Everyone is enjoying the fabulous bargains though and taking advantage to stock up on gorgeous fabrics.
We have sold a lot of fabric over the last week and a half but still have a long way to go, so as I have mentioned before it all stays on Sale until it is all gone, there is a lot of beautiful fabric on the shelves at Patchwork on Central Park..
As I am going on a buying trip to Paris and USA in January it is looking like the changes won't be made until February. I have decided to close both shops for two weeks at Christmas.
I will try to put a few fabrics on the blog every day to give everyone who reads this blog a chance to grab a bargain.  Today's are Anna Maria Horner Loulouthai Velveteens special price of $16 m for blog readers 54" (1m min)

CHANGING NOT CLOSING !!!!

Just been told by a lovely customer that the word going around is we are
Closing Down.
Not so! Just morphing into a better version. We can not compete with the prices of US patchwork fabrics from OS online stores so choose to leave it to them. We will still have amazing fabrics though mainly Japanese, Liberty and other selected fabrics I love. Plus I am increasing the range of Liberty fabrics online and in store.
See my post dated 18th Oct for details if you haven't read it.

CHANGING DIRECTION 30% - 40% OFF FABRICS

 Beautiful Echino Linen blend

 Anna Maria Horner Velveteens
Anna Maria Horner Flannels (original price $17)
One thing about Patchwork on Central Park is All the fabrics here are good, I continually clear any that are "dogs" in past Sale's, so that makes it really good for a Sale that goes until the end of all the Patchwork Fabrics.  It has been really busy in the shop this week as everyone does grab a bargain and stock up their stash. There is still heaps left. (scary really how much stock I actually have) Here are some more photo's of some of the great fabrics in the shop on Sale.
Also couldn't resist showing Marg's quilt in her basket as she was leaving Adrienne's class.
Please read 18th Oct Post about our change if you don't know  all about the changes coming next year here!
p.s. I have decided to keep the online shop as Patchwork on Central Park so will have all the Liberty fabrics and basics on.

PATCHWORK ON CENTRAL PARK IS CHANGING

After 20 years in the Patchwork Business I am hanging up my needles and thread.   Sorry girls, but I have fallen out of love with Patchwork. It has been a decision that I have thought long and hard about and have finally come to the conclusion that I will no longer be continuing in the Patchwork industry after the end of this year.
It has been increasingly difficult for me to put in the amount of energy into Patchwork on Central Park that it deserves and needs.

Patchwork on Central Park will become Scarlet Jones Malvern  in 2013.

Come in early and get some awesome bargains at my SALE it starts on Monday  22nd October and goes until sold out.
30% OFF ALL PATCHWORK FABRICS if you buy 1 metre or more, if you finish the bolt we will take an extra 10% OFF! (under 1 m no discount) This include all the Anna Maria Horner Velveteens and flannels as well as Denyse Schmidt Flea Market Fancy cottons and voiles. Amy Butler etc. I will put some photos on the blog over the next few weeks and number them, so if you want to call and have fabric posted you can.
No Discount on Liberty, Linen, furnishing and Nani Iro

Our beautiful historic Burke Road shop will become the Malvern branch of Scarlet Jones, in the NEW YEAR
. This exciting new shop will be a different version of our hugely successful shop Scarlet Jones in Hawthorn, I will be KEEPING LIBERTY OF LONDON fabrics in the Malvern shop and extending the range.  We will have the full range online in the new year and offer FREE POSTAGE  in Aus (we will keep our PCP website the same for about 6 months until we change the name).
I will also be stocking beautiful French Linens, Japanese Nani Iro and other fabrics, including furnishing fabrics that I cannot resist, as well as trims.  I will also be sourcing divine fabrics on my regular trips overseas.
We will still offer our dressmaking service and bespoke soft furnishings and hope to offer the occasional class.

We have gorgeous linen clothing coming and a variety of covetable items that I have just sourced on my recent USA trip coming into the new store as well as individual vintage pieces . I am really excited about the new venture and I know it will evolve to become another much loved shopping destination for Melbourne, suited to everyone that wants something exclusive and individual for themselves and their homes.

Anyway enjoy the bargains while they last and use this opportunity to stockpile some absolutely gorgeous fabric at irresistible prices ALL PATCHWORK FABRIC MUST GO. COME EARLY TO GET THE BEST SELECTION
Hope to see many of you in the exciting new version of the shop next year.

Nani Iro Fabrics

Naomi Ito is a wonderful Japanese designer that has been doing fabric design for quite a while. I absolutely love her fabrics and made lovely baby wraps for the grandchildren with the double gauze. They are lovely and soft and get softer with use. We have most of the range in stock including the jersey.

Back Home

Got back last week and my head is spinning. We are getting our beautiful house ready to put on the market. After 14 years and all the family long moved out it is time. But like everyone
We have too much of everything and the thought of moving it is too much to bear.
So I will be selling quite a bit over the next few months, including my stash of fabric, do stay tuned I will be posting photos.
Today's treasure is PMG small tubs that I love but have to go. They are in several different colours and are $5 each. Great for buttons or a small sewing box.
